Mandatory introductions usually come off as forced or
incredibly boring for the reader. In the interest of a quick introduction that hopefully keeps your attention, I will
keep it brief and to the point.
Husband to this insightful, intelligent, and amazing woman
(who just became an elementary teacher):
Father to these kids who have made me prouder than I ever
knew was possible:
Lover of all types of fiction. Some favorites include:
To sum it all up:
Daniel Green.
Father/husband.
Avid reader.
Movie lover.
Central Florida resident for most of my life.
Future ELA teacher.
Current full-time student.
Former Intake Clerk/Data Entry Specialist for the State
Attorney’s office.
Homebody who wants to travel more.
As I said, these things feel forced. Hopefully we all get to
know each other better in class. Writing about myself usually ends in me either
fawning over my wife/kids or going on about the current book I am reading (which, by the way, is "The Outsider" by H. P. Lovecraft and the influence of my blog's title).
Hi Daniel! I can totally relate to your description of being a "homebody who wants to travel more". If only we could bring our homes all over the world! RV maybe?
ReplyDeleteHey Dan, I liked what you said about 'forced' introductions. Yours seemed genuine. Kids are too cute as well.
ReplyDeleteHi, Daniel! After reading that Lisa's format inspired yours I had to see what you did with it. You did a fantastic job summing up who you are and that there's more than meets the eye. I look forward to reading more of your writing even if it is fawning over your wife, your kids, and your latest read.
ReplyDeleteI loved how you used images to tell the reader about you as well as a list. I am a fan of using lists in my posts. Something you will see more of in my open posts.
